Grant award from Showalter Research Trust
The W-R Zhang Lab is honored to receive a Showalter Trust Award to support our research on decoding spatial metabolic–immune niches in cancer. This award will help advance our efforts to integrate spatial transcriptomics, metabolomics, and computational modeling to identify molecularly actionable features of tumor progression.

New publication on Cancer Cell
Our collaborative study, published in Cancer Cell (impact factor: 44.5), reveals how lymph node colonization reshapes tissue organization through immunosuppressive fibroblast–myeloid cell niches that support metastatic tolerance. This work highlights the power of spatial profiling to uncover how metastatic niches regulate tumor–immune interactions and cancer progression.
